It has been reported that there are Audio issues with Android 13 and Samsung devices
Issue: Users have reported audio issues that degrade recognition after upgrading to Android 13.
Details: This is not an issue with PowerMic Mobile. It appears to be an issue with the Android system audio configuration which is changed after the Samsung Android 13 ONE UI 5 update. PowerMic Mobile and all other audio applications are impacted.
Resolution: We do not have official information from Samsung at this time, but we have reports of the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Restart Device.
- Toggle Bluetooth off and then on. In some cases, users may need to unpair and repair any Bluetooth devices.
- Reinstall Sound Assistant Module – Uninstall the existing Sound Assistant App by Good Lock and reinstall from Galaxy Store.
Nuance advises customers in the US and Canada with Samsung devices to contact Samsung regarding this issue before upgrading to Android 13.
